I work with clients in a variety of ways and there is no one-size-fits-all. Ultimately, I see my role as a strategic navigator – someone with experience, wisdom and gravitas to help you shape a more coordinated and impactful approach to comms and marketing that fuels growth.
First things first… chemistry matters. Why not take a look at the options below and book a 30-minute Discovery Call to find out more?
1. Strategy Session
If you like what you hear on the complementary Discovery Call, this chargeable one-hour call on Teams or Zoom is designed to tease out the questions you need to ask yourself to help you make more informed decisions about your next steps. Think of it as a small investment to help avoid what could be expensive mistakes. No pressure to follow through. Just sound advice and food for thought.
No two Strategy Sessions are the same but here are some ways this call could help you:
- Think differently about your brand and positioning in the market
- Avoid hiring too soon or for the wrong role
- Rethink a comms investment that wasn’t quite ready
- Reflect on experience if you’ve been disappointed by an agency - are you judging them fairly? Did you set them up for success?
- Get clarity on what you actually need — and don’t need.
- 60 minutes of focused consultation (Teams or Zoom)
- A short follow-up summary with tailored recommendations
Marcie has this brilliant knack of getting straight to the feel of a business and the respect flows out of her. She makes me, as a business owner, feel really seen. In a one-hour call, she helped us take a step back and look at the business from the outside – we’re generally too busy to even take time to think. If this is what you get from a first meeting I look forward to doing more with Marcie.

2. Project work
If you’re not ready to appoint a Fractional Comms Director for the medium term, it can be helpful to start the ball rolling with a discrete project. I’m a generalist, so there are many aspects of comms and marketing I can steer you through, including:
Team building
Whether you’re hiring one person or a team, I can help define your resourcing needs, shape job specs and support or lead the interview and selection process. I enjoy mentoring and can advise on objectives for the probationary period so the candidate is set up to succeed.
I would only deliver team building support as part of a wider project as I like to understand the business.
Strategic planning
This is exactly what it says on the tin. I’ll work with you to develop a clear strategy and costed plan that makes best use of the right comms and marketing channels for your business. The plan will be aligned with your business plan and goals. It will be practical, affordable, and deliverable — not a strategy that gathers dust.
Branding and messaging
You may have a strong visual identity but if the words you use to position and explain your business lack ‘punch’, your message won’t cut through. I bring a fresh perspective on all aspects of branding and love working with clients to strengthen messaging. If there is a case for a rebrand, I can guide the process to identify, commission and oversee the right creative partner.
Fees for project work are determined on a case-by-case basis.
3. Retainer - Virtual Communications and Marketing Director
Also known as a Fractional Comms Director, this is where I steer the ship part-time while we scale up your comms and marketing effort. My time commitment will depend on the business’ goals and resource, and the timeframe varies from client to client. It depends on your starting point and what you want to achieve.
Fees depend on the number of days/month and length of contract.
Ultimately, when I’m working as a Virtual or Fractional Comms Director, my mission is to do myself out of a job by setting you up to take things forward, with a clear plan and the right resource and systems to deliver it.
